Project Goals

Objective 1: Through its extended network and numerous outreach opportunities, MOVE will reach dancers in lower income communities with a strong desire to expand their dance education.

Objective 2: Through aggressive fundraising and donations, MOVE will provide the financial support necessary for qualified individuals to pursue a quality dance education.

Objective 3: Through the “Paying It Forward” element, MOVE’s intention is to provide an opportunity for continued dance training and to inspire a long-term commitment to community service.

Prominent ways of raising scholarship dollars:

• In person development meetings by Board members to cultivate potential funders
• Monsters of Hip Hop on-going Club Stylz events
• Community events (e.g. 5K run, dance marathon, dance day, etc)
• Donations through website, word of mouth, fundraisers
• Company/Organization funding support

Short Term
In 2011, we plan to raise $100,000 via fundraisers and donations to give to 20 scholarship recipients. By 2015, we plan to raise $500,000 to award in scholarships to 75 recipients.

Long Term
Monsters on the Move, Inc. plans to become the leader in providing dance scholarships to deserving students in lower income communities, as well as in expressing the dire need of keeping arts in the school system through the academic and artistic success of the recipients that receive the awards.
